Components:
Quirk Cards: These represent various powers and abilities of Heroes and Villains from the My Hero Academia series. Each Quirk Card has unique effects. Follow the instructions on the card when played.
Character Cards: Representing Heroes and Villains. Each player starts with one Character Card.
Action Cards: Cards that enable players to perform special actions during the game.
Damage Counters: To track damage to Characters during battles.
Setup Steps:
Character Selection: Each player chooses a Character Card to start the game. Characters might have special abilities stated on their cards. Activate them during the appropriate phases.
Deck Creation: Create a deck of 40 cards minimum, comprising Quirk and Action Cards. Shuffle this deck; this is your draw pile.
Starting Hand: Draw five cards from your deck to form your starting hand.
Health Points (HP): Each Character starts with 10 HP.
Game Flow Overview:
Draw Phase: Draw one card from your deck.
Quirk Phase: Play one Quirk Card from your hand. If it’s a Hero Quirk, add it to your team; if it’s a Villain Quirk, add it to your opponent’s team. Characters can equip up to three Quirk cards.
Action Phase: Play Action Cards from your hand. These can enhance your team or disrupt your opponent’s.
Battle Phase: Choose one of your Characters to battle with. Compare the total power of Quirk cards equipped to both Characters. The Character with higher total power wins. The losing Character takes damage equal to the difference in power.
End Phase: Discard excess cards from your hand (maximum hand size is 7 cards). Check for victory conditions.
Reshuffling Deck: When your deck is empty, shuffle your discard pile to create a new deck.
Win & Lose Conditions:
Win: Defeat your opponent’s Character(s) by reducing their HP to zero.
Lose: If your Character’s HP reaches zero or if you cannot draw a card at the beginning of your turn due to an empty deck.
Cards while effectively utilizing Character abilities will prevail!
